Rapala Tournament Fishing by Activision.  We had the opportunity to purchase this game over the weekend and give it a good tryout.  Yes, its a fishing game and has all the activities that come along with real life fishing.  Numerous unlockable lakes, which are unlocked via arcade mode, tons of real Rapala lures and various rods.  If you like to fish this game is for you.  Realistic fishing action comes true with your wii-mote and nunchuck and almost feels as if you are truly fishing.  The boat controls take a bit to get used to, but the fishing controls will come natural to anyone that has fished before.  The fish fight and pull away and can be a bit hard to bring in sometimes, but it adds to the fun of the game.  My friend was fight with a large-mouth bass for over five minutes and his arm was getting tired from reeling the line in with the nunchuck only to loss the fish at the very end.  During our review process the best quote came from Rylee who said "its kind of special, we can go fishing when ever we want except for school time."  The review results are as follows.

  1. Rylee - 5.8
  2. Ireland - 8.0
  3. Tammy - 5.8
  4. Robert - 5.8
The biggest draw back on this game came from the Graphics and Game Play departments with a family average of 6 for Graphics and 6 for gameplay.  This game excels in the innovation department with a family average of 7.25.  If you love to fish you will love the use of the Wii controls.  Overall our Combined Family Rating of Rapala Tournament Fishing was a solid.
