well after scouring the store a few days after the initial launch, I got one.  I stopped by my local gamestop a few days after the launch and discovered more units were on the way.  The gamestop rep told me that they would be getting 6 units in and would be available for the black friday shopping frenzy.  On the evening of thanks giving, i decided to drive by and see if there were any eager people starting to line up for the most inovative console to date and sure enough there were.  Since there were only 2 guys in line I decided to come back a bit later to find that there were now 6 people waiting (crap).  I then went to another location hoping they would be getting 6 six units as well.  I waited anxiously with 4 other guys from 11pm to 7am doing nothing but discussing gaming and nintendo vs. ps3 vs. xbox360.  It was quite a bit of fun drink beers and screwing around in the parking lot.  The people didnt start filling in for the biggest shopping day of the year around 4am, so we diffenatly had the advantage of getting our units.  Come open time the gamestop rep came out to announce that there were 4 ps3's available and 5 nintendo wii's.  3 of the 4 guys in front of me went and bought the ps3's, while I wasnt really interested in them and waited my turn for my wii.  I got home around 7:30 am and promptly went to bed.  I was awoked by 2 antsy kids and 1 antsy wife 2 hours after getting home waiting for me to set up our new toy.  Set up was very easy with the wii, it conected to my wifi with no problems and character set up (mii) was fun as well.  Shortly after set up the kids went crazy and I was just impressed with the inovation and compactness of this next gen console.  Sony and Microsoft have nothing but better graphics over the wii, but if I wanted to play graphic intensive games I'll just buy them for my computer since that is all the p3s and xbox 360 are.  Anyways, more reviews, tips and tricks and nintendo news are soon to come to wiitod.com.  Happy reading.
